I have worked for Nye County school district for 22 years, in Round Mountain Elementary school.

I taught have taught first, third, fourth, and fifth grades.

I was born in Eugene, Oregon in 1962.  My family moved many times during my life.  My dad was a pastor and would often start new churches, which meant leaving the town we were in.

I meet my husband Delvin in 1977 and married in 1979.  We have been married for 38 years.  I have two sons Casey and Jay.  I have 3 grandchildren.

I have taught for 22 years.  During this time I have been a coach and an advisor.

I coached junior high volleyball for 2 years, which was very exciting.  I coached junior high cheerleading for 2 years as well, but decided to give it up when coaching junior high and high school cheerleading became to much.

I coached high school cheerleading for 9 years and received several awards from camps we attended. I also coached drill team for nine years, during which time my girls took second place in the first ever state competition for spirit.

I have been a class advisor 3 times, all three for seniors.  This meant getting everything ready for graduation which we did.

I was the building rep for the union for 7 years, and this year began being the rep again.  It is an under taking that at times has been challenging.  I was the elementary schools PLC leader as well as on the PLC A team.

I love teaching my students!  My favorite subject is reading, if we can read we can achieve!
